Accessibility Statement
This is a formal accessibility statement from the Radiochemistry Society regarding the Chart of the Nuclides. The Radiochemistry Society is committed to ensuring digital accessibility by incorporating it into our organizational mission and internal policies. Our approach includes integrating accessibility into procurement practices, assigning specific accountability for accessibility goals, and employing rigorous quality assurance methods. Furthermore, we include individuals with disabilities within our design personas to ensure the Chart of the Nuclides serves all users effectively.
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) establish the international standards for digital accessibility. The Chart of the Nuclides is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. This status indicates that while the majority of the platform meets these standards, certain components may not yet be fully compliant.
We value user feedback and invite you to report any accessibility barriers you encounter. Please contact us via telephone at +1 509 460 7474, by email at lab@chartofthenuclides.org, or by post at P.O. Box 4597, Ironton Drive. Our team endeavors to provide a substantive response to all inquiries within five working days.
The Chart of the Nuclides is engineered for compatibility with modern browsers and assistive technologies. Please be advised that the platform is not supported on web browsers older than three major versions or mobile operating systems exceeding five years in age. Conformance with accessibility standards is maintained through the specific application of HTML, WAI-ARIA, CSS, JavaScript, and SMIL.
While we strive for comprehensive accessibility, certain limitations persist. For instance, images uploaded within user comments may lack alternative text, as we cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party contributions. We actively monitor these sections and aim to rectify identified issues within five business days. We encourage users to utilize the "report issue" button to notify us of any specific concerns.
The Radiochemistry Society has verified the accessibility of the Chart of the Nuclides through a combination of internal self-evaluation, external audits, and formal quality assurance protocols implemented throughout the development lifecycle. This statement was formally established on 9 May 2026.
